Anyone can paint a red lobster. I've done quite a few myself. The red ones are boiled of course. the live ones are all sorts of earthy and sea-like colors. I wanted to imagine a lobster unbound by predictable color. And so I did, on lovely delicate rice paper, with the kind of texture that only the technique of boutique painting can give.
